This performance features two separate entities that explore, express and narrate the relationship that brings them together. Ultimately this relationship is the essence of their existence. The two protagonists explore each other, tame each other, reject each other and support each other: the marks left by these interactions are aimed to be captured on film. Their bodies are more than mere aesthetical objects: they are tangible sensorial entities struggling to will themselves into existence.

Engulfed in tension that threatens to tip it over the edge of a cliff, the scenario of this choreography aims to help us relearn the meaning of human contact. The dancers reconnect to their bodies through a return to a primal state and instinctual movement; this allows their bodies to become a field of battle. This battle’s purpose is to play with the rules of social conduct, to better abolish them.

The last frame of the film shows the aftermath of the battle. The choreography is etched into the very bodies of the dancers, as well as into the music that lifts them, putting on full display the scars acquired in the earlier fray. The notation system that is used derives from the Benesh system: a process that transcribes movement via minimalist drawings, not unlike a music sheet. Thus, sensory perception is made visible by matter, in the midst of a corporeal chaos.
